Sully’s gone

Jeff woke up last Sunday, and Sully was dead.
He’d been acting normally and eating and drinking regularly until Saturday night, when, of course the vet’s office was closed.
Sunday it was too late.

Here’s Sully climbing on the top of his cage this morning.
He is usually on the top of the cage, or in the tallest branches.
Skye crawls to the top of the cage every now and then, but she’s usually hiding in the middler of her umbrella or ficus trees.
Monty and Sheila, our ball pythons are almost always under their water bowl hides, unless they are hungry.
Where do your reptiles spend most of their time?

Sully was climbing on a umbrella tree stem right underneath the door to his cage this morning, so I reached the camera in and grabbed this shot as fast as I could.
I still can’t believe it turned out so well!
I love the way it looks like his eyes are looking right at you – I don’t see both of his eyes looking at the same thing very often at all.

Here’s a happy Sully when Jeff walked in to feed him Friday morning.

Here’s an unhappy, inflated Sully after Jeff took too many pictures Friday morning.
It’s amazing how they can puff themselves up!
