Goodbye dear Fred. You were loved and still are.
This is a perfect example of why most people suggest only keeping one species of reptiles in the same cage.
I feel so bad for Jimmy for the loss of his pet, but I’ve never seen anything that said that chameleons should be housed with anything else - everything I’ve seen has said to keep them in a cage by themselves.
Of course I have seen chameleons housed with other animals at the zoo, and I don’t know everything.
I still wouldn’t take the chance.

Incredible that anyone would even think for a moment that housing two completely different species together would be a good idea. I feel for Jimmy (and Fred of course), and I hope this turns out to be a valuable lesson for him.

Me too.
I guess it goes to show how important it is to continue to do research even after you think you’ve got an answer to your question.
There are so many opinions out there that some of them are bound to be wrong, and it’s terrible to learn that they are wrong through the death of a beloved pet.

I am in awe of people like you who have so many different kinds of pets, and the continuing research that needs to be done and the time it takes to make their habitats so welcoming & comfortable. Kudos!!!
