Feeding Your Snake Too Much May Starve It To Death

I just ran across a very interesting article – Feeding Your Snake Too Much May Starve It To Death in the Fort Collins Colorodoan. The article explains that overfeeding a snake which doesn’t get enough excercise makes it harder for the snake to digest it’s food, and can lead to the point where the snake doesn’t even feel hunger – so it stops eating.
I know that I sometimes forget that the snakes need to be exercised too, so I’ll have to work on excercising mine.
I’m also a bit of a germ freak, and I just can’t put my snakes in my bathtub to swim. We had a couple of extra ten gallon aquariums lying around, but now they’re full of fish, so that isn’t an option any more.
How do you excercise your snakes?
Do you let them swim regularly?
If so where?
Leave a comment and let me know.
Together we can work together for healthier pet snakes
